Competition Team Program
Late Auditions Coming This Summer
SPDC is proud to be home to an award-winning competition team recognized on both the regional and national level. A program for dancers that want to further their technique, self-confidence, team camaraderie and performing skills. The SPDC competitive team program consists of 3 performing teams, ages pre-k through high school, ranging from intermediate to advanced dancers.

FAQ's
Who Can Join:
Dancers in Level 1 and up who are motivated, committed, and eager to take their dancing to the next level. All interested dancers must audition for team placement.​
Auditions & Team Placement:
Dancers are evaluated on technique, flexibility, musicality, and performance. Team assignments are based on age, ability, experience, maturity, motivation, strength, and attitude.
Commitment Requirements:
Minimum 6 hours of dance/week during Fall/Spring (including ballet)
Weekly competition choreography classes
Maintain acceptable school grades and studio attendance
Mandatory Auditions: May 2nd, 2026
Summer Classes: In House Convention Week, 1 Week of Summer All Access Camps and Competition Choreography Week
1 mandatory convention each season
5 competitions per year (travel required)
SPDC’s Philosophy:
We focus on growth, teamwork, and a lifelong love for dance—not just trophies. Competitions are about improving technique, building friendships, and becoming strong role models.
Financial Information:
All costs will be clearly outlined before commitment. Fees include tuition, costumes, convention and competition costs, and any solo/duet/trio expenses.
